A weakly nonlinear framework to study shock–vorticity interaction

چکیده

Linear interaction analysis (LIA) is routinely used to study the shock–turbulence in supersonic and hypersonic flows. It based on inviscid of elementary Kovásznay modes with a shock discontinuity. LIA neglects nonlinear effects, hence it limited small-amplitude disturbances. In this work, we extend framework fundamental two-dimensional vorticity wave normal shock. The predictions from weakly are compared high-order accurate numerical simulations over range amplitudes ( $\epsilon$ ), incidence angles $\alpha$ ) shock-upstream Mach numbers $M_1$ ). found that generation at has significant contribution intermodal between acoustic waves. Vorticity also strongly influenced by curvature wave, especially for high angles. Further, able predict correct scaling effects observed simulations. predicts number dependent limit validity terms maximum possible amplitude upstream wave.

Measuring a linear approximation to weakly nonlinear MIMO systems

The choice of the input signals has impact on the nonparametric frequency response function (FRF) measurements of a nonlinear MIMO system. It is shown that Gaussian noise, periodic noise, and random multisines are equivalent, yielding in the limit the same linear approximation to a nonlinear MIMO system. Even in the noiseless case, variability of the FRF is observed due to the presence of the n...

a frame semantic approach to the study of translating cultural scripts in salingers franny and zooey

the frame semantic theory is a nascent approach in the area of translation studies which goes beyond the linguistic barriers and helps us to incorporate cognitive and cultural factors to the study of translation. based on rojos analytical model (2002b), which centered in the frames or knowledge structures activated in the text, the present research explores the various translation problems that...
